On December 25, 2017, at approximately 12:45 AM, Ralston Fire was dispatched to the 5000 block of South 80th Street for a possible house fire. Due to the nature of the dispatch, an automatic aid call was made to Omaha Fire Department and Papillion Fire Department. Shortly after the dispatch, Ralston Police Officers arrived on scene and advised dispatch that there was smoke and flames coming from the front of the house. At this time, Ralston 101 made the call for a working house fire.The fire was contained within 30 minutes of the dispatch. There were no injuries during the incident. At approximately 4:30 AM, the final units returned to service for the morning.
At this time, the Nebraska State Fire Marshall’s Office is the primary agency conducting the investigation. The hard work of all agencies on scene did not go unnoticed.
