Inside Ralston Volunteer Fire & Rescue Station Life

Membership is provided with refined amenities and technology to grow. The station sports a classic look steeped in history with all the modern firefighting and emergency medical upgrades. In fact, the building used to be Ralston’s old jailhouse and consequently does not have a firefighter pole. When a tone drops (emergency call), members throughout the building can hear the request and take action. Downtime is filled with training, research, schooling, chores, leisure activities and public events. The campus provides members with a home away from home.

Training Building

In 2007 the Department purchased the building next door and converted it into a training building. The building has walls capable of being moved to create one large room, or three small rooms. Each room has pre-piped artificial smoke. The building allows members to learn search and rescue, forcible entry, wall breaches, Vent Enter Search, ladder operations, and many other drills.
